Weekend well spent

Added on November 28th, 2010

And again it has been quite a while since I last updated. Can’t believe that it has been seven months already. Shame on me, shame on me. So what’s new?

Well for one I finally updated WordPress and the ROxi theme that I made for this site, no changes visually really. Mostly stuff at the backend which will allow me to update my Work section a lot quicker and much less painful (yay Featured Images and Custom Fields!).

Got myself a new server as well, and as you can see changed the domain to rihards.com, even though rihardsonline.com will continue working as well, and the email addresses are unchanged.

Put together a new PC for myself as well (pictures of the process), so there has been quite a bit of gaming going on lately. Maybe expect some game reviews in the near future!

Red Faction: Guerrilla

Added on February 15th, 2010

So I’ve been gone for a while and neglected my own blog and as always I have my excuses (lots of work, even on weekends being one of them), but that’s not important yet, so I’ll just get back to my usual shtick.

A while ago I played through Red Faction: Guerrilla. I guess the quickest and easiest way to sum it up would be the cheap man’s GTA on Mars. Except it’s not very cheap, and it’s not exactly GTA either.

Shall we start with the good things first? Well alright then. It’s fun. Or let’s put it this way, it can be a lot of fun. If you like running around, blowing things up and generally causing mayhem, you’ll like Red Faction: Guerrilla. A lot. More

Woes of Star Trek Online Beta Testing

Added on January 17th, 2010

I have spent a little under twelve hours over the past three days beta testing Star Trek Online. It has been a very interesting experience to say the least, with its ups and of course downs as well.

This is Gidon, a Trill male Federation Lieutenant (and should I muster more time to play, maybe even a Lieutenant Commander one day). Want to know more about his adventures in Star Trek Online beta? Read on. More
