Moustachify

Added on April 27th, 2011

Just updated the Work section to include my latest project, moustachify.me. It’s a silly little project that I created a few weeks ago already, but only now got around to creating the interface for it.

What it does basically is take a picture that you supply, and using OpenCV and PHP Facedetect Extension it will look for all the faces in a picture and apply a moustache to the faces. Once it has done that it provides you with a bit.ly link where you can see your image and/or share it.

It’s Snowing Stormtroopers

Added on November 29th, 2010

How weird is this, it’s actually finally getting quite cold in Austria. Just two weeks ago I could still go outside in a T-Shirt, but now it’s cold and snowing. Oddly enough I was able to get to work without any problems this morning (first snow usually causes massive problems for public transportation here).

So what’s the deal with the stormtroopers? Well I finally got around to doing something I’ve been wanting to do in quite a long time! That is to make a stormtrooper stencil and then spray paint it on my PC desk. Started out with a nice stencil, which I cut out (took me ages, should really pick simpler things).

Now this is where I messed up a little maybe, and could have done a little better, but I’m still very happy with the outcome. And I think it’s quite good for my first, and I’ll know what to do differently next time!

Thinking about adding Boba Fett next, or yeah maybe something really simple that is easy to make!

More Popomundo Art

Added on March 13th, 2008

Yeah, I’m still playing and quite active in Popomundo. I suppose the older/better your character gets the more you get motivated to play. Or maybe it’s a matter of wanting to try out everything that one can do in the game. Whatever the case might be, that’s not the topic of this post.

Recently I’ve been doing some more Popomundo art work, and yeah I know these aren’t exactly super hot pieces of design, or in some cases design at all. But I still like doing the odd piece every now and then. It makes for a great break from usual designing work. Not to mention the fact that these aren’t paid designs, so people (including myself) get what they paid for.
