Gaming PC Is Up and Running

Added on July 12th, 2007

Finally I got all of the stuff that I ordered delivered to me today. A new 3D card, Sapphire Radeon X1950 Pro Ultimate, and two sticks of one gigabyte RAM. Needless to say, just like with most other extensive PC upgrades there were problems. My PC wouldn’t even start up at first, until I re-cabled the whole PC, and removed my satellite card.

Stupid PSU probably unable to handle the card properly, so might have to go out and upgrade that as well. But so far it’s coping just fine. So what does this mean? It means that I’ll probably be gaming more often now, which of course means more game reviews for the blog.

In other news, I’m planning on making a new site. A site with multiple blogs, as for the topics, it will be very similar to this blog, but a lot more of it, so more gaming, more news, more anime, more fun.

Halo Arms Race

For someone who has expressed his dislike for Halo 2, and quite a sizable chunk of the Halo community, I sure do seem to post quite a lot of Halo related things. Especially lately, but I do have my reasons. It’s not so much because of Halo, or Bungie (who are really good game developers, even if they did produce Halo 2), it’s because of WETA Workshop.

WETA Workshop, who are they? They are a physical effects company from New Zealand, famous for their work on Lord of the Rings trilogy, as well as other movies that have had really great sets, costumes and props. And yes, they are once more working together with Peter Jackson, this time though on the Halo movie. Which doesn’t look all that bad.

They just can’t stop coming up with new, and ever cooler and funnier shows on the Japanese TV. Take this one for example, they spin two guys in circle for a while and then make them box each other. So far sounds like your every family gathering, but what makes this really great is the place where they do it.

New shows all the time, as opposed to having Big Brother 17, or whatever number they are now at. Not to mention all the silly CSI shows that have been showing up everywhere. If I ever go to Japan I’d be just happy to sit in my hotel room and watch their TV channels. Got to love the C3PO guy at the end as well.
