Well what can I say? Apart from that I have been playing Urban Terror quite a lot lately, and liking it more and more. Some of you may know that Urban Terror has actually been around for quite a few years already, but only recently was the 4.0 version released, which comes in the standalone flavour as well.

What does it mean for everyone out there? Well it means that you can download and play the game fully legally for free. It’s quite a hefty download at roughly 550mb, but once that is done, it’s just a whole lot of fun. That is of course if these sort of games are your type of games.

So what type of game is it? The screenshot sums it up quite well I think. It’s a first person shooter, set in modern world with weapons that are based on real world weapons. It pits two teams, or sometimes even no teams (depending on the gameplay mode) against each other, and sometimes with objectives such as capture the flag, bomb/defuse, or just plain survival.

Basically Counter Strike? Well yes and no, personally, it’s my opinion that Urban Terror is a lot quicker, the pacing is much better, and the overall feel of the game is more realistic as well. Not to mention that most of the players that I have played with so far are actually very nice people, not your average CS griefers. So yeah, it’s a lot of fun, if it’s your type of game you should definitely give it a try.
