Ask A Ninja

It would seem that there are still people out there who don’t know what Ask A Ninja is. Especially some of my regular readers. Ask A Ninja is a series of video “blogs” so to say. They come out quite regularly and feature a masked ninja who gets asked a question, and he answers it then in a ninja-esque way.

There are already 32 episodes of varying topics. Ranging from Ninja Dates, to Ninja BBQs, to how to kill a ninja. Great videos, a lot of fun, especially some of the earlier episodes. You can find all the episodes at the official webpage at askaninja.com. Have fun watching them.

Tijuana Police Armed With Slingshots

Added on January 24th, 2007

Some headlines are just too funny to be even made up, and this is one of them, it would seem that the local police in Tijuana had all of their weapons confiscated and were handed slingshots instead. But it all has a good reason apparently, and that is because the local police are suspected to be linked with local drug cartel killings.

And because images tell a lot more than just words, here’s an image ofwhat it looks like. And I really tried to resist adding this, but it just seemedso fitting and funny, “Watch where you point that thing!”.

Upgrading WordPress to 2.1

Added on January 23rd, 2007

Is shockingly simple. Very shockingly even. I’ve been administrating forums, blogs, and webpages now for more than six years, and today, I saw magic. I still can’t believe how quick and simple it was. Just upload all the files, overwriting the old ones on your webspace, and then just running the upgrade script.

Of course if you edited the default style and didn’t change the name of the folder, then you could end up with a reset style. So be careful about that. A lot of new stuff has been added from what I’ve seen in this short period of time. Two very critical features for me as well, one being automatic inline saving of the post as you go, and it doesn’t even slow you down. The second being the ability to switch from Visual to Code view while writing the post.

So much kudos to the wordpress developer team, and everyone else who is involved in the making of wordpress. Blogging just wouldn’t be the same without you guys.
